Terms of Service
Effective Date: July 10, 2026
Welcome to the website of Decker Tech Services ("DTS"). By accessing or using our website, interactive tools, and form submission features, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.
1. Informational Use Only
All information, articles, checklists, and guides provided on this website are for general informational and educational purposes only. They are not intended as a substitute for professional IT, networking, or cybersecurity advisory audits. While we strive to present helpful, practical tips, we do not guarantee that following our guides will resolve all technical issues or prevent all security threats.
2. Interactive Tools (No Threat Detection Guarantees)
- Message & Email Safety Checker: This tool is an educational aid designed to highlight common phishing and social engineering indicators. Basic analysis runs in your browser. Optional Deep Scan is off by default; if selected, the submitted message text is sent to Cloudflare Workers AI. No result guarantees that a message is safe or a scam. Do not submit passwords, financial information, verification codes, or other highly sensitive data. Decker Tech Services is not responsible for any security incidents, financial losses, or damages resulting from actions taken (or not taken) based on these analysis results.
- Business Security Assessment: This assessment is a brief self-check designed to help prioritize basic technology adjustments. It is not a certified security audit, penetration test, compliance review, or technical guarantee of security.
3. Service Estimates & Appointments
Any service lists or starting prices displayed on this website are general guidelines. Formal service agreements, estimates, and schedules must be coordinated and agreed upon directly. Onsite services are coordinated strictly by scheduled appointment and are subject to availability and service scope.
4. Customer Responsibility for Backups
Before requesting any remote support or scheduled onsite checkups, it is the customer's sole responsibility to ensure that all critical files, photos, records, and databases are fully backed up to an external drive or secure cloud storage. Decker Tech Services is not liable for any data loss, file corruption, or system disruptions that occur during the course of troubleshooting or maintenance.
5. Remote Support Authorization
By requesting remote assistance and accepting a connection from our support client, you authorize Decker Tech Services to access and control your computer system solely for the purpose of diagnosing and troubleshooting the issues you have reported. You represent that you are the owner or authorized administrator of the device.
6. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall Decker Tech Services or its owner be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages (including, but not limited to, loss of data, loss of business profits, or hardware replacement costs) arising out of or related to your use of this website, our free online tools, or our technical support services, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree to use our website and tools only for lawful purposes. You must not attempt to disrupt the performance of our tools, upload malicious code, or submit fake contact form requests.
8. Intellectual Property
The text, logo, custom tool code (such as the Phishing Email Analyzer engine), and design of this website are the property of Decker Tech Services and may not be copied or republished without prior written permission.
